In my case this is all new build, all new downloads, so it seems like things should work even if I use the V12 plugins? One thing to note, I am using Waves Central to download and install the licenses and plugins. I saw some other users on this forum having trouble with V13 Waves plugins and Ableton 11, but they were updating on machines they had the V12 and V11 plugins on. There is a Waves Folder that shows up in C:/Program Files(x86) with all the Shell and V11 and V12 files, but it isn't appearing in C:/Program Files. The VST3 files all end up in C:/Program Files/Common Files for some reason? It says on the Waves site to put the Waves Shell file in your custom folder and it should redirect your VST2's functionality to Ableton? I have put all my other VST2 plugins in the custom folder C:/Program Files/VSTPlugins. Everything has worked out fine except for Waves plugins. I updated to Ableton 11 on the new PC and have begun the arduous task of re-downloading and installing my plugins. I just finished building a new PC last week.
